‘Guidelines to Art’ featured on Department of Health website
'Guidelines to Art’ a watercolour painting method from the Society for All Artists that allows a non painter to guide a small group of non painters to achieve success in about an hour has been featured on the Department of Health’s website. The Guidelines are aimed at care homes, hospices, hospitals and one-to-one for people confined to the house and are currently being installed in over 300 BUPA care homes.
“The social benefits of using the Guidelines to Art have encompassed engagement, forming a group identity, socialisation rather than isolation and developing relationships with others. There also appears to be a sense of importance amongst people to feel that they have contributed towards something, in being able to share their thoughts and ideas with others.”
