Shoot Experience - FREE photo storytelling workshops: 3 opportunities to take part!

QUAD is looking for 40 Derby and Derbyshire groups during July to mid September to take part in a FREE photo storytelling workshop.

All types of groups are welcome to take part; community groups, sports groups, book clubs, social or friend groups or you may even wish to form your own group and take part (groups should ideally include at least 10 people). Children under 12 need to be accompanied by an adult, parent or guardian. The 2.5 hour workshop will take place at QUAD at a time to suit the group, you may choose your own text to photograph (or they can pick one for you), they can provide all equipment or you can use your own digital camera/camera phone. The workshop will cover photography techniques, photography in public and basic photoshop techniques.

There are three open workshops taking place on Saturday 7, Saturday 14 & Saturday 28 August 1pm - 3pm in QUAD.

Suitable for age 5+ (Under 12's must be accompanied).
These workshops offer the chance to learn photographic skills and create your own photo story for inclusion in Derby Festé.

The workshops are FREE, but as places are limited please book in advance through QUAD Box Office 01332 290 606.
On Saturday 25 September, participants can take part in a photo storytelling event led by Shoot Experience which will conclude with a spectacular large scale performance of the photo story on Derby's Market Place on Sunday 26 September.

The story is based on a new fairy tale for Derby created from peoples' tweets and written by local writer Berlie Doherty.
