Artist in residence placement for East Midlands based graduate

Mantle Arts is offering a resident artist placement to a recent graduate of an arts based course. The placement will involve a wide range of possibilities for the artist, from participatory activity to creating site specific installations, from community events, festivals or performances to work with specific community groups such as schools, mental health sufferers, old people’s groups etc. The placement could also cover aspects of project initiation and management.

The final programme of activity will be negotiated with the prospective graduate to ensure both they and Mantle Arts gain maximum benefit. They are open to graduates with a wide range of skills in any art form, plus the desire to work in community contexts. An East Midlands base and willingness/ability to travel regularly to N.W. Leicestershire are essential for this role.

This placement is being offered through the region’s Creative Innovation programme. The placement will last up to 20 days over a flexible period of time. A discretionary bursary will be made available to the graduate to support them in the role.
